Hydrocoll® is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid bandage specifically designed for the treatment of moist wounds. The bandage consists of a vapor-permeable but germ- and waterproof polyurethane film that maintains a moist environment. Upon contact with wound exudate, a gel forms that promotes granulation and epithelialization of wounds. This is particularly beneficial for chronic wounds, where healing is often difficult.

Application

For application, gently place the bandage over the wound and press lightly. The bandage can be changed as needed, usually every 3 to 7 days, depending on the amount of exudate. Prior to applying, the wound should be cleaned.
