The Prontosan Wound Gel X sterile is a specialized hydrogel that is excellent for cleaning and decontaminating deep wounds as well as burns. It is ideal for application on wounds that are heavily crusted or have formed biofilms. By using polihexanide and betaine, the gel creates a moist and healing-promoting environment, thereby supporting the healing of wounds.

Ingredients

0.1 % polihexanide (polihexanidum), 0.1 % undecylenamidopropyl betaine (undecylenamidopropyl betaine), water (aqua purificata), glycerol (glycerolum), hydroxyethylcellulose (hydroxyethylcellulosum)

Application

The Prontosan Wound Gel X sterile should be applied locally. After cleaning the wound with the Prontosan wound rinsing solution, apply the gel directly to the wound surface or in the wound cavities. Cover with a secondary dressing and leave in place until the next dressing change.

Composition

The gel has an optimal viscosity for treating large superficial wounds and is suitable for both acute and chronic wounds.
